Description

This circular provides guidance for the design and operations of water aerodromes open for public use, unique aerodromes, primarily on water, intended to be used by seaplanes operating at a maximum take-off weight (MTOW) of 5 700 kilograms and below, which constitute most of the global seaplane fleet, under visual flight rules during daylight time. The content in this circular is based on adaptations of conventional aerodrome practices and on the experiences of States that have operated water aerodromes.
