This self-paced course is part of the Fundamentals of International Aviation Online Training Programme. Delivered in three (3) units, the course explores the dynamic world of airport operations, infrastructure, and management. Learners will gain insight into how airports function as complex, internationally standardized organizations that support safe, secure, and efficient air transport.

Learners will gain insight into how airports function as complex, internationally standardized organizations that support safe, secure, and efficient air transport.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of the course, the participants should be able to:
- Summarize how airport activities are standardized internationally, including the contents of Annex 14, the role of the Airports Council International (ACI), and universal measures of time and location
- Explain the operational structure of airports, specifically elements of airside and landside operations
- Describe key elements of airport economics, including aeronautical and non-aeronautical revenue sources

Primary Target Population
Primary target audience:
Aspiring aviation professionals, individuals transitioning into the aviation sector, Civil Aviation Authorities, airline operators, and other aviation industry stakeholders.
Secondary target audience:
Experienced aviation professionals, including those working with training organizations or as aviation consultants.
Certificate
The participant must achieve a score of 80% to pass the final exam. Note that participants are allowed a maximum of three (3) attempts only. Upon successfully completing the exam, the participant will receive ICAO’s e-Certificate.
